Before starting her own practice, Deep Well Health in New Mexico, Functional Medicine Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Herbalist, Kristina King, APRN worked at the UltraWellness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts developing expertise integrating plant medicine with pharmaceuticals and supplements for the treatment of tick-borne illnesses, mold sickness, auto-immune diseases, and inflammatory bowel conditions, as well as other conditions. She continues to deepen her integrative practice. She has trained with and maintains professional associations with Dr. Richard Horowitz and his practitioners (Lyme and tick-borne infections), herbalists David Winston (Herbalist & Alchemist), Caroline Gagnon (FloraMedicina), Deb Soule (Avena Botanicals), David Dalton (Delta Gardens), and Donnie Yance (Mederi Foundation). She also communicates with Kate Gilday (Woodland Essences), Julie McIntyre (herbalist and Lyme disease expert), and Dr. Scott McMahon (expert mold sickness), among others.
In addition, Kristina is a Third Degree Reiki Practitioner. She has background in osteopathic Biodynamic field which has given her an appreciation of this approach. At Maine Integrative Healthcare, now Intgr8 Health, she worked with patients using Medical Marijuana for a host of chronic or traumatic conditions. She forages for medicinal mushrooms, dances Contact Improvisation, enjoys preparing good food, and is a Master Gardener. Several years ago she co-founded the Slow Food chapter in Maine with the distinguished food writer, Nancy Harmon Jenkins author of the prescient Mediterranean Diet Cookbook.
